What is the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Tarrant County?

ADRC of Tarrant County helps people who are aging or have a disability, their families and caregivers, in understanding their options and successfully connecting with the services and supports they need.

The ADRC is a collaboration of more than three dozen government and nonprofit groups working together to help older adults, people with disabilities and their families get help. 

What help is available from the ADRC?

Resource Coaches at the ADRC provide extensive and ongoing training & cross-training on issues and resources for people who are aging or have a disability and their families. Resource Coaches can provide help over the phone and in person and follow the consumer through the ADRC services. The ADRC is especially helpful in assisting someone who has multiple needs and may need help from multiple resources. Our goal is to connect you as quickly and easily as possible with what you need.

Do I need an appointment?

You do NOT need an appointment to talk to or meet with our Resource Coaches. We are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Call or visit the ADRC anytime during those hours.   

What Resources can I use at the ADRC?

Brochures from a number of community providers, computers with internet access, books, videos and DVDs that you can check out from the ADRC or view in the ADRC with a wide selection of categories including: Advocacy, Aging, Caregiving & Caregiver Resource Information, Disabilities, Grieving, Health, Medicaid Waiver Programs, Medicare/Medicaid, Mental Health, MR/IDD/PDD, Parenting, Rights & Self-Determination.
